Best Time to Visit Alibaug (Season-by-Season Guide)
Winter is peak, monsoon is moody-green and summer is quiet value — here is what each season in Alibaug actually feels like.

Quick Answer
October to February offers the best overall experience — clear skies, comfortable temperatures and all activities running. But each season has a distinct personality, and the "best" time depends on what you want from the trip.
Winter (October–February): Peak Season
This is when Alibaug is at its best — cool mornings perfect for beach walks, warm middays for the pool and pleasant evenings for bonfires. Expect crowds and higher rates on weekends and public holidays, so book accommodation three to four weeks ahead for December and January weekends.
Summer (March–May): Quiet & Good Value
Days get hot, but mornings and evenings remain enjoyable, and resorts drop their rates. Water sports continue through most of the season. If your group plans to spend afternoons by the pool anyway, summer delivers the same fun at lower prices — weekday trips especially.
Monsoon (June–September): Green Season
The Konkan coast turns intensely green and waterfalls appear along the roads. Swimming and most water sports pause, and some beach shacks shut. But for couples and photographers who enjoy rain-washed landscapes, indoor games, hot pakoras and dramatic skies, monsoon is underrated — and it is also the easiest time to find availability.
Long Weekends & Festivals
Diwali, Christmas–New Year and Republic Day weekends see the year’s highest demand. If you must travel then, lock your rooms early. Conversely, the weeks immediately after New Year offer peak-season weather with thinner crowds.
Planning Around Your Dates
Whenever you come, we recommend checking tide timings if Kolaba Fort is on your list, and keeping one flexible slot for weather. Check our packages for seasonal deals or reach out via the contact page — we will tell you honestly what to expect in your week.
