Perfect Alibaug 2-Day Itinerary (Family-Friendly)
A realistic hour-by-hour plan for two days in Alibaug that leaves room for naps, pool time and second helpings of seafood.

Day 1 — Arrive, Unwind, Beach Sunset
- 09:00 – Depart Mumbai/Pune; ferries fill fast on weekends, so aim for a morning sailing or start the drive early
- 12:30 – Check in at Malhar Baug Resort, Palhe; settle into your room or villa
- 13:00 – Long Konkan lunch at our restaurant (try the thali and sol kadhi)
- 15:30 – Pool and lawn time while the sun softens; kids can use the play area
- 17:15 – Head to Nagaon Beach (5-minute drive) for water sports and sunset
- 20:00 – BBQ or bonfire dinner back at the resort (arrange with the front desk)
Day 2 — Forts, Market & Farewell Seafood
- 08:00 – Early breakfast; check today’s low-time before planning Kolaba Fort
- 09:30 – Kolaba Fort walk at low tide, or Akshi/Nagaon beach walk if tides don’t cooperate
- 11:30 – Alibaug market: Kolhapuri chappals, wooden artefacts, fresh jackfruit and kokum
- 13:00 – Seafood lunch in Alibaug town or back at the resort
- 16:00 – Late checkout if available (ask in advance), then begin the journey home
With Kids Under Ten
Skip the fort rush and give the morning to the beach instead — Nagaon’s shallow stretch is safest early. Keep the afternoon free for the pool. Honestly, many of our young guests rate the rain dance and indoor games above any sightseeing.
For Groups & Celebrations
Travelling as a big group? Swap Day 2 sightseeing for a lazy villa morning, group games on the event lawn and a photo session in the gardens. We regularly host birthdays and corporate outings — see our events page for layouts and menus.
Booking Notes
Book both nights at the same base — moving hotels mid-trip eats half a day. Check live availability on our booking engine or call us; direct bookings always get our best rate and first pick of rooms.
